“In order that we may start rationally on the subject, it is absolutely necessary to change the commonly accepted point of view. Treatment of disease as generally applied presupposes that sickness must be combated, relieved, and cured. If we take for granted that so-called disease must be treated as a foreign invader, a usurper of rights, or an alien enemy, we must continue the vain search for cures.

Cures as they are misunderstood are in practically every instance merely the palliation or relief of symptoms. Each separate disease is named according to the location of its most prominent manifestations.

Disease is the warning, and therefore the friend not the enemy of mankind. It manifests itself in its various ways and forms, from a slight cold to the most severe inflammation, such as for instance, as pneumonia for the sole purpose of ridding the body of accumulated poisons.

The cause of the disease may be a matter of days or of many years, but the general characteristics are the same……Doctors detect the beginning of disease by the presence of symptoms.

Overworked emotions are often directly responsible for disease and aggravate all existing pathology by acting unfavorably upon digestion, assimilation, nutrition, and all excretory functions having to do with the elimination of waste products from the body.

To get well you must stop doing that which makes you sick. No disease can be successfully treated unless the surplus toxins are removed from the blood and tissues. Above all remember, that the more you feed a diseased body the more you feed the disease.”

It was not my intention to ever respond to another Steve Kirsch article. He has consistently shown me that he does not understand the very topic he is writing about. This is not just my own assessment as it is even admitted by Steve publically that it is his experts feeding him his information (as well as apparently his opinion) as Steve is no expert himself. However, I was holding out hope that a man of science would be interested in actually participating in a challenge designed to perform the proper scientific validation irregardless of the outcome. I had hoped Steve would see the value in putting aside any differences and to work with us in a joint effort to see what the science truly shows when performed as closely to the scientific method as possible. Instead of joining and working with us to get the necessary scientific research performed, we received a declination, debate challenges, and a hit-piece.
